PULP Web Media Launch

By Product Team

Today, PULP launched its new web media platform.

https://media.pulp.mu/

This media is a place to rediscover music.

As personalization and optimization continue to advance, encounters with music have gradually become more predictable. PULP takes a step back from that trend and aims to reopen a music experience that embraces chance and open space. This is the same concept behind our already released music SNS, where users connect by sharing what they are listening to. Through these two complementary platforms, PULP as a social network that connects users, and this newly launched editorial media, we hope to propose a new way of experiencing music.

Weaving the Context of the City into Sound

New music does not exist only within algorithms.

Conversations exchanged in clubs, moments spent standing in front of record shelves, the excitement and quiet after a live show.

Through its web media, PULP records musical landscapes that are intertwined with the context of cities and people, shaping them through editorial expression.

From Objectivity to Subjectivity, from Algorithms to Uniqueness

PULP is not a media outlet that lines up correct answers or evaluations.

DJs, writers, photographers, listeners.

We respect each perspective and sensibility, and value the reasons behind “why this music resonates.”

Not reviews, but reasons.

Not rankings, but viewpoints.

We treat music not as a single answer, but as an entry point for dialogue.

Opening Musical Landscapes Together

This media is not shaped by the voice of any one specific person.

It is a place where diverse contributors gather and share their encounters with music, each with their own sense of distance and temperature. You, the reader, are also part of this landscape.

Through articles, you encounter new music and perspectives, which then connect onward to someone else.

PULP aims to be a media where such a cycle naturally emerges.

We hope you look forward to future updates.
